OnTap is for QuarkXPress users who like keyboard shortcuts. The XTensions module enables the user to assign easy-to-remember keystrokes to fifty or so QuarkXPress menu commands. It adds an option to the utilities menu that brings up a scrolling list of functions and commands normally accessed only by mouse or pulldown menus. Any key combination can be assigned to these functions.
OnTap is roughly equivalent to a macro utility, though easier and faster to use. Commands are executed entirely within QuarkXPress, and the XTensions module uses the familiar QuarkXPress-user interface to assign or change keyboard equivalents. OnTap also features handy commands previously unavailable, such as selecting an entire sentence, selecting contiguous style-sheet use, making case changes, and much more.
