ID2Q7 offers QuarkXPress users a quick and easy way to convert InDesign files (v1.5 through v4.X) into QuarkXPress v6.X or v7 documents with a single click. All elements of the InDesign document, including object positions, colors, text, text attributes, images, and so on, are converted with a single click.

ID2Q7 also converts between cross-platform files, converting Windows InDesign files to Mac QuarkXPress. File conversion is performed to the best standard achievable by current technology but will not be entirely accurate. Use of this product is likely to require some manual processing to achieve the desired result.

The manufacturers of desktop-publishing applications have their own unique methods of text rendering, therefore, text flow will not be completely accurate. Depending on the use of custom kerning, tracking, leading, and other settings, more or less rework may be required — some rework will always be required.

Supported Applications:

Supports Mac QuarkXPress v6.X on Intel and earlier Mac systems

Supports Mac QuarkXPress v7 on non-Intel Mac Systems only

Converts Mac InDesign v1.X to v4.0, Mac or Windows origin

InDesign documents converted to QuarkXPress are now able to have text runaround on all sides of the object.

An ID2Q preference has been added to the QuarkXPress preferences menu. This menu gives the user the ability to select the language display of the ID2Q. This preference also enables the user to synchronize the language displayed on ID2Q with the language of the operating system.
