With TeXTractor, export all the text in a QuarkXPress document or selected portions of the text using any text-export filter installed in the QuarkXPress XTensions folder.
Choose one of four options when text is extracted (exported):
• all boxes to export all text in the document and optionally maintain text links and story continuity or export the text, box by box;
• style to export all the text that has a specified style sheet applied to it and optionally which style text TeXTractor should export;
• imported stories to export only the text stories that have been imported into the document; or
• tagged stories to export only text stories that have been tagged using TeXTractor's story-tagging dialog.
The XTensions module offers enhanced batch exporting through prescheduling of exporting routines. TeXTractor is targeted at users who export text from QuarkXPress documents for use in other projects such as internet publishing or archival-text storage. TeXTractor allows exporting of all text from a single document, or from an entire folder of documents, with a single command. Text extraction may be limited to text with a certain style sheet applied to it, or text that was initially imported into QuarkXPress.
Features:
• limiting text exported to only the text inside of specific page margins;
• allowing preselection of up to 19 folders of QuarkXPress documents from which text is to be exported;
• enabling prescheduled text exporting at intervals of up to 24 hours; and
• selecting which stories should be exported, and arranging the order in which they are exported.
