Features

Color markup of documents is a time-consuming task that art directors and production managers have been doing manually since the advent of color printing. ColorBreaker ends that. It is absolutely accurate and unbelievably fast. ColorBreaker will save time and it produces much more detailed and precise labels than if done by hand.

ColorBreaker places tags that contain pertinent color information on each colored item and text block. This information contains everything the printer will need. It also warns of RGB or spot-color problems. ColorBreaker labels QuarkXPress elements and imported graphics as well. It can even place FPO tags automatically. An automatic collision-avoidance feature decides whether to move the tag and use a callout arrow. When a tag is moved manually, the arrow magically reattaches to it. Use ColorBreaker for clear, complete, error-free information in the right places and for all QuarkXPress elements as well as imported raster and vector art.

Features:

• indicates process- or spot-color usage and helps to minimize color errors for all elements of a layout, regardless of element origin;

• quickly shows when spot colors are in use, or if CMYK mixtures have been set up correctly;

• color tags also provide valuable information for the printer;

• places FPO tags on art where specified, automatically (bitmap or RGB);

• saves time by automating a manual task and decreases the chance of an error at the printer;

• places labels, using snap-to arrows, identifying art, font usage, picture name, and so on;

• allows for easy adjustment of color mark up by maintaining the connection between boxes and arrows;

• facilitates proofing of graphics and font usage; and

• makes it easy to recreate colors in other applications or look up colors in reference books.
