BobTail brings added speed and agility to QuarkXPress. It provides a sleek palette of up to 40 configurable buttons. Quickly label a button with an icon and assign a specific menu item to it. Once a button is configured to a menu item, accessing it is immediate.
Use it for one-click access to QuarkXPress menu items or menu items added by other XTensions modules software. Assign menu items that don't have keyboard equivalents to a button for faster access. Assign menu items that are referenced frequently to a button to shorten the time to perform the task. Assign a button to each step of a multistep task.
BobTail is a terrific tool to increase QuarkXPress performance. Simply assign the most commonly used menu choices to BobTail buttons in the order in which they’re used and access them merely by clicking the buttons — don't mouse to the menu and move through a list of menu items each time.
While BobTail displays a maximum of 40 buttons, it provides three levels of buttons for a total of 120 buttons. If that isn't enough, use multiple configurations of the 120 buttons for virtually an unlimited number of configurable buttons. This can be especially useful if several users are sharing the same workstation. Each user can set up a button configuration for their own needs and simply switch to it when they are using the workstation.
The BobTail palette can be viewed either horizontally or vertically. The display view of BobTail can be reduced by applying button configurations on a smaller group of buttons. If only the first 20 buttons are configured, only the first 20 buttons will be displayed.
