ClassicDraw XT makes Quark’s non-Mac OS X-native applications usable with the Classic environment by fixing a number of annoying redraw issues in QuarkXPress.
The first version of ClassicDraw XT fixed a problem with QuarkXPress v3.3X and v4.X which caused the document not to be redrawn when the user switched from another application into QuarkXPress. This meant that every time the user switched to another application to, for instance, read email or copy a file then the document view became corrupted. While Quark has fixed this problem in QuarkXPress v5.0, ClassicDraw XT made older versions of QuarkXPress usable in Mac OS X.
With the introduction of Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), a new problem with all versions of QuarkXPress products up to and including v5.0 and Quark CopyDesk 2 became apparent. If a palette partially overlapped a document window then scrolling the document would cause certain portions of the document to fail to redraw. ClassicDraw XT version 2.2 fixes this redraw issue.
